I know it's not a cob, but this seemed to be the best place for this question. It was dug yesterday in VA, and as you can see very worn. Just wondering if anyone can give me a date range on it?

Pic on the right.. is that the tower of a castle just to the right of the lettering ? I don't suppose you're going to try to clean it any are ya ?

Nope... no more cleaning. I know its a 1/2 reale.... but I thought some eagle eyed T-Netter will instantly recognize the design and rough guess the dates. There is an outstanding pool of knowledge gathered here!

This was one of two cut pieces found in that field yesterday. I'll let my friend show the one he found (its been ID'ed already). No need to spoil his post.
