2 Addicts Here Chug addict #1 And Red addict #2 :laughing7:

so am I, can't wait to start again

You mean I'm not alone : )

Cobb, I hear ya. Anytime I go anywhere I see great spots to TH. Old farmsteads, old schools, etc. I can't shake the fever! Just droolin' looking at your Merc wishing I could get out. Unfortunately I'm stuck here in the frozen tundra of Iowa. I started swinging the coil last June. I retrieved 38 silvers from June thru the end of October. Can't wait for spring!!

Join the crowd!

I can find less than that in 4 hours and still have had an awesome day. No.....you are not alone my friend. My mind stays in day dream mode when I'm not actually swinging and digging. I can't even drive safely for looking at old yards and such going down the road..........

Yea im hooked on this hobby. Never had so much desires on any other hobbies as much as md. I have to stop myself sometimes and get my priorities straight. This hobby can consume you if you let your gaurd down. Sleep deprivation is one.

" My name is Argentium , I am a metal detecting addict " (and i have no intention of quitting )

Nice finds.
I used to dream about detecting and I could swear some of those great spots were real. I would watch movies and tell my wife, "I'd love to detect that spot."
I'm addicted too. It's a great sickness.

Definitely addicted and spend many days and many hours for less than a dollar. Lol And I must say yes to both night and day dreaming about swinging and digging in the dirt.

I am here in Minnesota and constantly day dream about it. I braved the frozen ground and found a beach where I could dig about an inch deep and found .25 cents in clad. So yep i'm addicted:icon_thumleft:

Don't be silly, I only count my swings whilst trying to sleep....

I'm already planning next weeks hunts while I am in the middle of this weeks hunts. I have had and still have many different hobbies but none are and will be as fulfilling as detecting. I'm a lifer!!!!!!

Yep I'm addicted too. I spend my whole week looking forward to detecting on the weekend. I have gotten double my last two times out and had a blast on both occasions !

Sent from my BNTV600 using TreasureNet

First step is admitting I have a problem, (my girlfriend kicked me to the curb). Second step is getting permission. Third step is having enough batteries. Fourth step is believing in a higher power greater then myself (AT PRO) Fifth step is accepting help from others (Pro Pointer) Sixth step is making amends to people I have wronged (it's not my fault, she bought it for my birthday) Seventh step is keeping a continual personal inventory and admit when wrong ("officer,I thought it was public property") Eighth step is make a fearless moral inventory of myself ( I still say swinging my AT Pro is not that bad) Ninth step use prayer and meditation to help break myself of the habit (I don't do it in the freezing rain or snow) Tenth step is admit to myself and another person that I have a problem ( I'll cut down to just weekdays) Eleventh step is sought through prayer for a higher power and his will not mine (he did answer my prayer when I found that beautiful 1946 Walker Half) Twelve step is having a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps and practice them everyday in my daily life (as long as my machine doesn't breakdown everything else will work out) ( I sold my Ace 250)

I've definitely got it bad. This winter is absolutely killing me. I research the history of my area for hours and hours every week. Going to a lecture Saturday morning on the early Scottish and Irish settlers around here. Like my girlfriend says, I could have much worse addictions. I don't have any plans on quitting this one. Nobody likes a quitter :-) keep on swinging my fellow addicts

My happy addiction had recently been modified by angry aching knees! :BangHead: I'd obsessively detected without breaks most of my forays this past 3 years of the hobby (guess I was afraid each detecting day would be my last, lol. :laughing7: :laughing7: ) Discovered ya gotta take breaks when you're 71 years old! Fortunately last month a mild but persistent flu-cold thing kept me resting at home for 3 weeks, tremendously improving the arthritic painful knees. My bottom line for 2014: take frequent breaks to sit down! Daydreaming about our hobby is wonderful because often it gives us new ideas of where to detect, also daydreams are very relaxing. Have fun & take a break! :hello: Andi

Your not alone! It's almost all I can think about! I can't wait for the snow to melt and the ground to thaw, as soon as it does I'll be out there! HH.

I got a fever ! And the only prescription is more gold!
