I am not addicted, I can quit anytime .. LOL

ONLY ONE WORD.... YES I Stated Back in 1972 and Still Going and Still Looking for My 1943 Copper Penny !

Certainly ding not, No way I like ding to detect ding. I never ding think about finding ding that beautiful ding silver ding coin or pretty ding gold ring ding........Hummmm. DING!!! What a lovely sound.

Addicted?! YES! I detect 3, maybe four times per week - and that is in the winter! Summer? well, maybe five times per week!
Of course, I'm retired, too! =D

Oh heck yea I am an addict!! I Think about it all the time here in South Georgia, especially when I am at work and its a BEE-U-TEE-FUL Day outside! A very time consuming yet inexpensive hobby! Digging in the dirt and swinging that coil till the pain sets in - perserverance 101 !! We all want to find something, but I will admit some of my BEST DAYS are when I find absolutely nothing! The experience of detecting with a buddy and being in an old spot is exciting since the history is always in the ground :icon_thumleft:!!!! Nice 12 cents you found there JCOBB!8-)

Hey WayFas,

My sons mother lives out in Lee County GA, behind the Publix Market. We make it out there a few times a year. Maybe we could meet up and hunt. I found some good silver in park out there.

James

I recently became sad because my business has exploded and I now have no time for detecting. I think that qualifies as an addiction.

I have only begun.( bought a Garrett Ace 350 and Pinpointer in Nov, a Dodge Ram 4x4 in Dec)Then the ground froze. Now all I do is read posts and maps of my area all day long.My grandson is even worse (gave him my old Tessoro) All he does is dream in class about spots to hunt. teacher has to call him to attention. Anybody know what you use on rock hard frozen earth?

I am so addicted that my family sometimes thinks I'm insane! My brother detects with me, and I want to always go in a foot of snow in the winter... hes not addicted as me :)

I have good detecting dreams and wake up to find dig holes in my mattress.

Can't wait for the snow to melt to get back out there..

I think I lost a girlfriend because of my addiction to detecting - when she called me to tell me it was over , I was out detecting !
( we have remained good friends !)

I was out in a snowstorm last night with a headlamp on because the ground had thawed enough over the past couple days. My girlfriend hasn't left me yet but does remind me that I'm an idiot quite often. I blame it on her since she bought me my T2 SE then my pro pointer. She is to blame for all of this. It's not my fault!!!!

I'm hooked bad

Sounds good James, stay in touch with me and let do that!!:icon_thumleft:

I am soooo sick of snow!!!! My eyes are bloodshot from straining on my ipad staring at old maps and aerial views for hours on end !!!!!!! I NEED TO DETECT !!!! Step 1: I understand I have a problem !! I need to pull silver coins out of the ground. I have to !!!! Mother Nature please bring me spring!!! Does anyone understand me???? My wife certainly doesn't lol !!

I think about it all the time :metaldetector: :love10:, but rarely get to actually do it :sad10:

Yep, its a disease that you don't want to recover from.

Last week I drove over 50 miles round trip for 3 dimes and 5 pennies. All clad. I wasted 3 gallons in gas.

While detecting I couldn't help but think when gas was $.89 a gallon and it would have been easy to pay for your gas with a few swings. (Yes, I was driving back then.) Now, about every time I go out, I essential go into debt.

BTW, I remember moving out west and drove for 1800 miles and it only cost me $75 to get there.
