but some were claiming to be jumping ship.

and since the organizer of the event got himself Banned from here,
(Don't ask, I won't explain or allow discussion on him or his banning)
and he was only accepting signups through a private Facebook account.
I'm not sure how anyone can contact him.
perhaps someone in the know will PM you.
