Anyone in Medina County area?

I don't have a machine yet but am looking at getting something after I figure out what I want. I'm in Hondo just west of San Antonio on 90.

I live just down the road from you in Lytle. I'm new to this site, too. I've been detecting on and off since 1983. I've always used Garrett machines. I don't think you'd go wrong with one. What are your interest in detecting? Do you have any sites in your area that you think would be good to detect? Not Medina county, but I'm in the town of Medina 3 - 4 times a year. My detector craving peaks when I visit that area. I would love to hear/learn about any finds, sites or suggestions in that area. Thanks!
