Hello Cosmo,

Wouldn't that put the diameter at a tad over an inch & a quarter? Using natural light is a much preferred way of photographing glass objects.

Insulation marble.

Should have cold roll stripes all over it.
I have some of these that came from a decommissioned Saturn V rocket. There were layered inside of theinsulation

Industrial marble. Hard to know what it was used for. Possibly just a form for the glass to be in during sale and transit. Ones similar to this were often found along railroad tracks as railcars were full of them being shipped for various reasons. Sometimes to be spun into fiberglass, used in tumblers, etc... Quality control was very lax as they didn't care if they were perfectly round or had cold rolls.
