Hi everyone, I have just purchased an item from a market in Paris. I was told it was a wine sipper but would love to know anything else about it & what/how it was used, value etc. I think it is only silver plated as I can see no hallmark & some raised round decoration appears more golded in colour rather than silver. The base has a coin in it which says UN DECIME 1815 BB surrounded by a laurel reath. The inside part of the coin also has a laural leaf with a large capital L with a crown on top. The cup itself is round & approx 8.5cm across & only 2cm deep. The handle is a curled thin snake & quite delightful.

As I mentioned, ANY help to find out more about my mystery object would be hugely appreciated. Looking forward to any replys, Cheers, Karen.
