anyone know how to remove the pole cam locks on the tesoros post 2000 line up?

cant seem to get the cam lock that fixes the separate poles together off to replace.
got one that lots its bite.

This doesnt seem to be any kind of not turning issue. those familiar with the tessy cams will know what i mean. there seems to be some sorta locking mech? I cant remove any good ones either without feeling im about the snap, tear or break the plastic.

I'm pretty sure those are glued together. White's electronics sells replacements and they say you have to be able to glue them yourself.
