I wonder if that's how the news was sent from one place to another or was like a ticker tape(?). Where it just kept printing and staying on the roll.

Maybe it was a way a radio,tv station archived the news for the year? Or how it rolled through and they would just look to see what printed for the day. and it just kept going until the roll ran out, and new one was put in? I'm just throwing ideas out, I have no clue! Looks like a cool find! I like finding things like that and old letters or really anything! lol

Is the whole thing from Ohio? or is the pic just news from ohio in that section of the roll?

It's a printed Telex roll of paper. Looking on line I see they still sell the replacement rolls, so I guess they still use Telex somewhere.I went and hitchhiked around the Western States in the summer of 1975. That was a trip I recall a lot about. Some of that journey was crazy.

My wife used to work at the local radio station and that is how they got the news. She would go down through it and circle stuff that she thought was newsworthy to the city of Warren, AR, population 6700, and read it out at the appropriate time. I showed her the picture and she got tickled. That was a long time ago. She was a disc jockeyette in 1977 and part of 1978...d2

It looks like a print out from a teletype machine.
