Anyone know what this pin would be?

I found this pin in the front yard of Boston house built in the mid 1800s. Anyone have any ideas what this symbol is on the pin? It is about 1 inch in length and .75 inches in width. Thanks!

Yes, Diggummup is correct; it is a Victorian ladies brooch. As far as the symbols are concerned, the open-faced roses on the outer edges were a very typical design used during the Victorian times. Roses were found on jewelry, furniture, etc. The center portion has leaves and once held a stone. Neat find Breezie
