Just recently starged getting a random phantom hit using my AP on the beach...rarely get it wet and have not had this issue until last week.

It happens about once every minute...

Just recently starged getting a random phantom hit using my AP on the beach...rarely get it wet and have not had this issue until last week.

Keep us updated if a cause is found.

1. Can you try a different coil.
2. Could be EMI if it's happening at a frequent / regular interval.
3. Check the coil with a multimeter and check the resistance. You can compare it against what Aquascan recommends or I can provide for you here. All coils and accessories have a resistance value so you can get a good idea if one is faulty.
