This is on an Egyptian Remington M1868 No 1 Rolling Block rifle i recently picked up. I've been able to translate everything on the rifle into English per se with the exception of one word.

Everything else is numbers or single letters. The issue here is like trying to decipher someone else's hand writing style. I can make out the first letter and the last letter, but the middle letter is giving me fits. Playing around with different letters in the middle came up with Pigment, Slipper and Cushion which can't be right on a weapon.

١٣٩٣ Translates as 1393
٢٨٤٧ ج Translates as C 2847
٩٩١ Translates as 991
غ Translates as G
خ ? ب Translates as ?
ح Translate as H

So if we have any Arabic speakers can you lend a hand and help me figure out the one word that is on this rifle.

A little more looking and it turns out it is 4 letter not 3 letter word. So now I have the following 3 possible letters and something.

خ ? ذ ب

خ ء ز ن Autumn

Or
خ ء ذ ن Henna

Been using the Arabic keyboard, but when I translate it into English it also come up with the word Autumn which is in Sindhi which is a Pakistani dialect.

Seeing these rifles were used by Egyptian Military, then Egyptian Police, then used by Egyptian Cadets (Don't know what type of Cadets), it has me confused and lost. I've reached out to a few Arabic speaking friends for their help also.

Not sure about the arabic writing but the caliber is likely .43 Egyptian.Nice rifle.

Yeap, it's in .43 Egyptian, for some reason lately I've been leaning towards old rifles, versus later ones. Out of all the weapons (44) I own, I have 6 that predate 1900 now.

1863 Snider Enfield P1853 Mk II** Afghanistan Bringback
1874 - 1876 Remington Egyptian M1868 No 1 Rolling Block
1879 Waffen Fabrik Bern Swiss Vetterli Model 1869/71
1890 Danzig Commission Rifle Model 1888 aka Gew 88
1894/1927 Izhevsk/Tikkakoski/Mosin-Nagant Model 1891
1894-1896 Oviedo/Mauser (Spanish) Model 1893

Here's the photo collage from the place I bought the Egyptian Rolling Block from.
