Anyone?!? Super hyped about this find..

Everything depends on the individual details of the bullet MD... dimensions, weight, design, etc. There are CW, post-CW, and modern casts which have a varied number of "rings". Once we have some pics and/or some of the specs someone will be far more likely to positively identify your find.

Ok sorry I was wrong it has two rings but the look and patina scream old to me. Anyone who knows please enlighten me. Here are said pics.

Looks like a .45 cal bullet. From a cased cartridge. Probably turn of the century. +-

Really because the only images online that look even remotely similar to myn are all 1800s??? Scratching head.

Clean your bullet vigorously. Along the base or within the rings you will probably find "crimp marks" or small vertical lines where it was crimped to a more modern case. Also your bullet is machine made in a more modern process.
It may be 1800s but the very latter part if at all. Its most definatley a post cw projectile

These are genuine 3 ringers and others i dug recently from CW sites. Notice the size and construction

Ok, I appreciate the info. They do look much bigger but someone else mentioned the lines within the groves I looked with a loop and don't see any. Also was it fired or dropped?

Too small to be a slug, I think pistol, turn of the century. If in doubt, take to a gun shop?

I'd say a cast pistol bullet, .45 or thereabouts, would make it anywhere from 1870's onward.

Id agree with the 45cal post CW period. but you never know.
