Are there any known shipwrecks of value off the coast of Louisiana

Shallow rivers and natural estuaries along the coast would be a good bet. As far as off the mississippi delta, anything there would be so deep in the silt as to make it really unlikely to find. On the mississippi itself, well it's been channeled and dredged so much that the odds of finding anything there are slim to none. UNLESS you could find a steamboat wreck in an old river channel that has since silted up, like the Arabia found along the missouri river a while back, again, slim odds, but history has shown it can happen.

Hi all,
Just curious if anyone knows of any shipwrecks containing any gold or other valuables off the Louisiana coast and in relatively shallow water? I have a friend who lives down there and has asked me this recently? He has an interest in possibly searching and salvaging one if at all possible? He knows this takes a lot of money but he has enough to give it a go after he does his research and gets his ducks in order so to speak. I told him I would assist in any way I could. Any information would be appreciated and hope you all have a great day.. Happy Hunting..
Hey if you're still around and you would like some information or your friend who would like some information. Message me on here or contact me at j e s jessemurphy225@gmail.com225.

There is a ship close to my hometown that I found while I was logging for sinker Cypress.. it's a civil warship. I would want nothing more than it to be found acknowledge and maybe re donated back to the state and dedicated to someone important... All the items that I know are there, maybe your friend can sort through those.. I'm very serious I'm very interested in your post. Thx jm
