Are these Civil War buttons also?

Photo #1= I think it is an unwritten requirement to find a harmonica reed when hunting home sites because I have at all three houses I have searched so far. Left of the reed is a junk pocket knife. Is the large thing with the rings part of a horse bridle or horse hitch?

Photo #2= Is this a button with the 1918d Wheat cent? Looks like a sea shell design to me.

Photo #3= Is this a button also? It is only slightly smaller than a penny. The design on this one looks like an eagle to me.

I appreciate any help. These items were found in the same yard where I found two Civil War coat buttons yesterday.

Nice finds. Your large item is part of a horse bit. They come in several different versions.

Can't help you with the buttons.

The first one is probably colonial. The second one could be either colonial or civil war era. Hard to tell. I just found one of those horse bit parts as well.

They could be of the Civil War era, but they dont look military, would need a better picture of the second one to be sure, It is hard to make out.
