Are these replica colonial coins?

A friend found these coins who is new to detecting. Coins were found in a area that was excavated for new construction. Believe they were in a waxy substance.

Yes, they are replicas. They have the telltale look of cast pieces. You can also see where the copper plating is worn shoeing the base metal inside. Also the first coin represents a piece of Massachusetts silver, I can't really see which type, so should not be copper at all.
