Every year when fishing up in northern Wisconsin, I always wonder if the places these nostalgic signs refer to are still there. . .

Those are some cool names/places.

Too bad they're letting all the paint peel too.

Looks like a place where kids (young and old) would have fun.

Good thing you got a photo before the paint peeled off! Would be interesting to go to each place! Someone should do that then put a geocache with a log of the trip at the base of the sign! :D

Mel. . . yes indeed, that's one of these places! Thanks for your research. Some of the ma & pa "supper clubs" in this area have the best weekend fish-fries you could imagine. I'm looking forward to go back up there fishing with my sons this summer.
