Is it me? I am so frickin tired of all the focus in the news everywhere..is what the frickin government is or is not doing. Are we not the descendants of Jefferson and Hancock?

Who in the hades is tired of all this 'news' about what the local, state, county, municipal, and federal government do or don't do?

I am sick of it! The govt should be serving the people. It has morphed into a monster of privacy invasion and excessive regulation!

Enough said. All that funny money printed with nothing behind it will come home to roost.

Would you feel better if no news was ever reported about the government?

We The People should VOTE and pass a Constitutional Amendment to:

To REDUCE ALL GOVT by 75%. ALL levels..ALL of it.

That remote control must be very heavy if you can't change the channel without getting that upset about it.

I have been in the face of local, county and state government for a long time. It helps a lot more then ranting that I'm tired of hearing about it.

It takes the focus off what I don't want to hear and puts some focus on getting things done.

My dad always told me to put up or shut up. I put up...so I will not shut up when I'm around the local law makers. I'm also cool about what I say and how I say it to get something accomplished.

Go ahead and stand on that big fat soap box of yours. Be well informed when you talk on it and inform others very well.

If you vote, then aren't you a voice in the government. After all, a majority vote is what puts the government where it is.

The M D coffee had real reasons to be done. Were as a lot do not know, they kept there coffee above normal temp so it would stay hot longer. Most folks do not know that part. It was keep just below boiling. A scalding temp. Most keep it at well under such.

Yet I do agree with the liability risks today make it difficult to allow folks on private land and so on. Crazy stuff. More folks the worse it will get.

As for the politicians, if they are not corrupt they are new, and soon will be.

I have traveled all over the world, and I am convinced that liability attorneys have eroded the freedoms of citizens in this country as much as anyone.

You only believe America to be the land of the free until you travel to another country that has actually managed to remain free. I believe that all of the Western style governments have freedom of speech, and the only real difference that comes to mind is the varying stances on gun ownership.

Even though I no longer live with my mother, I often feel as though I am still under the guidance of my mother. It was all over when the lady burned herself on coffee at McDonald's and became a millionaire. That was when kids could no longer play baseball on vacant lots in the city.

Usually when I am denied permission to detect a spot, it is because of liability. 15 or 20 years ago, they would usually send you off with a signed business card so nobody would bother you.

Apathy and selfishness on the part of the American individual have allowed this to happen.

P.S. I also consider the established power base to be thoroughly corrupted, and I believe that my optimism is eternally hampered by the greedy individuals destroying the Capitalist market system.

There's a good movie I just saw a while back called "The end of America". No, it's not some hatter hating on our freedom or hating the our troops. It's actually someone that is seeing a slowly closing noose around our freedom and what we call democracy by our government going into to 'control mode'.

It's in book form and in Movie form. In fact, if you google it, you can actually watch it for free on the internet (not giving the link away here).

It talks about 'signing statements', and blackwater, and a whole lot of other goodies that will simply make you think.

In fact, I want to add a little bit to this post.... Did you know that as of right now, There are key words in this post that could trigger a 'watch' on me?

its a very easy way to fight it.................build you an underground bunker out in the wilderness 100's of miles from any other human ,stock up on gold, silver an guns an ammo an live off the land until D Day comes .

"Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government, and with three little words: 'We the people.' 'We the people' tell the government what to do, it doesn't tell us. 'We the people' are the driver, the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world's constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which 'We the people' tell the government what it is allowed to do. 'We the people' are free. This belief has been the underlying basis for everything I've tried to do these past eight years."

We NEED another great man like Reagan NOW!
