I am in Texas now but I lived in every corner and the middle of Arkansas until I was 36. NE corner, SW corner, SE corner when in college, and Central Arkansas at Conway until I moved here. I say that I lived in all 4 corners. I spent and spend enough time in NW Arkansas with family living there to count, and I will relocate there to live.

I hunt quit a few places in Central and North AR. I have not spent anytime in NW AR.

I just recently had a nice hunt in Lonoke. I have done some research and quit a bit of door knocking there and further east. PM me if you like and I can give you some more information.

Jefferson/Arkansas Counties here - Humphrey, specifically. Just got my first detector for my birthday, can't wait to dig up some history!!
Any suggestions on getting historical maps of a town without shelling out $20 a pop?

For maps, you could possible look at getting a local library card and they may have access to Sanborn maps. I get on the Sanborn website and use my library card number to enter, and I can do this from any computer. It has helped me narrow down areas to search when I use it in conjunction with Google maps.

Fayetteville here. Just joined the forum today and have only had a detector for a month. Totally a newb! I've only been out once so far due to weather and had a couple nice finds with my ATpro
