Would appreciate thoughts on whether this is legit arrow head or similar. The ones I found in Florida look much more arrow shaped, but this does appear to be worked around the edges. Found in desert in the Las Vegas area. Thank you!

I would also have to say no, but like Tommy said, please post it in the Native American Artifacts forum. There is a wealth of knowledge there, and they will give you an accurate opinion. I always enjoy finding them. But the ones I have found are a little more clear cut to identify.

With the mottled colors, pocked surface, etc., it's very difficult to tell if there's any flaking or edgework that would tell us if it's an artifact. More pictures may or may not help. I can say that it's a beautiful piece of chert that has definitely been exposed to heat/fire.

Interesting find, will a magnet attract it?
