Hello,
I found some strange looking rocks at my family's farm and I'm thinking they're artifacts. Some early archaic artifacts have been found here so I think these might be something. The large rock is a turtle scraper I think, feels perfect in the hand like someone made it that way. The Quartz one looks like a huge spearhead or something, just seems pretty strange since I'm pretty sure limestone is the native rock where the farm is (Caledonia/Hamilton ON Canada Rural area). So if someone could help me with identifying what these are I would really appreciate that.
Thank you
(Paint on my hands btw)

Hi Unearther - Welcome to Treasurenet!

I have not looked at your pictures so I can pass no comment on what they are. Like many people here I am very wary of clicking on external links no matter how legit they look. It might be an idea to post you pictures again but uploaded to treasurenet this time - I think you will get more response.

I noticed this is your very first post UnEarther - So, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

You did mention that you were MD'ng on your families farm so here is the link to Sub-Forums: Canada...

Sorry but they are all just rocks. Your making the same mistake a lot of new artifact hunters make with rocks, imagining how a rock is an artifact because it fits in your hands a certain way.

When you go to post, click on the "Go Advanced" button below the box. On the new page scroll down to "Manage Attachments" and click on that.

In the pop up window, click on "Add Files" (Top right), then "Select Files" which opens an explorer window. Find and upload the pictures you want and then "insert inline" when they have uploaded.

It is more complicated than some forums, but it does mean all your files, once uploaded, can be used again in other posts without re-uploading them.
