Asking Your Opinion on Brinks BAGS......

I got a very nice reception when I stopped in to a bank I ONCE bought some Half-Dollars from.

....The tellers REMEMBERED me from LAST MONTH and after I left, they, knowing that if I were to order any halfs, I would be in around the middle of the month, Were delighted to see me and informed me that they were glad I came back, because they ordered $500, but that it came in a BAG...they seemed dismayed at this, so they ROLLED the entire bag of halfs in anticipation of my return.......LOL

VERY thoughtful, but I told them that I would be more than happy to take them bagged. I asked them from whom they came and they told me that they use Brinks.

MY question, after having heard tales of Brinks searching through Halfs, is if anyone thinks this is true to the extent that Brinks bags/boxes may end up being mostly Skunks.

I ask for your wisdom on this, as it would be nice to use this bank frequently, considering how well I have been treated....But I'd hate to chase skunks all the time.

If the bag comes from a coin-counter, then there is the potential for silver. If the bag is comprised of hand-rolls from the bank, then there is the potential for silver. If the bag is from a hunter, then you'll most likely have a bag of dumps. Many hunters have the arrangement with their bank to bring in their dumps already bagged.

No one can say for certain which one you'll get. When a bag is good, it can very good. Give it a try.

Thanks Diver.....You know we used to be neighbors? ( I used to live down in Palm Coast)......LOL

These guys told be that their contract with Brinks isn't for rolled coin (It's a VERY small Branch) because of the cost, so any bulk coins I get from them will most likely be bagged.....I hop that THIS Brinks facility isn't picking through them. I'm going to try a few batches through them and see what shakes loose.....
