Found on farmland this week. can't say too much as they are at the BM in London for conservation etc etc, could be even more than 2000 . They all seem to be late 3rd century bronzes with radiate head. unfortunatly wont know much more for quite a long period but will keep you posted.

Hutch.:hello2:

What compelled you to turn over the find? You won’t see it again now that they have it. I wish you’d just kept it opened it and showed us. Oh well. Nice find id vote banner. But it already made banner.

I'm thinking he kept a few....

Thanks . it's all for the best to turn over to the British Museum and let the experts deal with them, overall we have a good workable system over here, and there will be a Reward forthcoming. Hutch

And that is one great detecting difference between the US and the UK, looking forward to seeing in the future just what was in that really big "pocket spill".

Congrats on your great banner find.

Huge congrats on your discovery! Looking forward to more pics.

Congrats and looking forward to more details!

Very cool find, congrats!

I appreciate the program you all have with regards to finds, it's a model that I wish we could get implemented over here. Probably not enough trust going around to make it happen.

Awesome Find & Pictures.

looks like 'maybe' they were in a 'leather ' or similar bag at one time.

500+ hrs a year each is plenty of time, although we try & eliminate luck, but we will certainly take it.

Will try to keep you all up to date, but it's all down to the British Museum, but I'll keep on it. Hutch
