Found this yesterday, 330 miles North of the most Northern A&NC Station, Morehead City (1859), NC. Seems that a Confederate Soldier could have had it in his mess-kit, just a guess. A&NC marking on the upper handle.

Cool spoon indeed but it's in 'King's' pattern and if it's Gorham marked, wasn't produced before 1890.
Thanks for the history. So much for the Southern Soldier idea:(
