Hi all,
Still swingin in this crazy heat!
Tried an old schoolhouse site that yeilded silver flatware last time,
got a nice shiny tombac this time.
Inland is too grown in, so back to the coast,
lots of heavy brass junk for the scrap buckets.
Got a weird hollow silver ball, engraved, no visible attachments
6 lb lead mushroom with brass ring.
the copper nails are works of art.
nice old bronze prop.
Apothecars weight.
2nd .50 cal dummy round.
two more parasol handles.
Lead doughboy toy, don't recognise the weapon
Pipestem is a first with wearmarks from being clamped in teeth
Plain Dandy Button and unknown 28mm copper
1910 Cent.
Some kind of Chalice type thing, Candleholder ??
I'll keep swinging, HH all

You did it ! It is your fault ! All these nice relics you are pulling from the flats drove me to it I Called up Mike from Woodland detectors and inquiried about a good salt machine ! I think he wants to sell me a minelab Go figure ! MaineRelic

I missed this one...that "Atoms for Peace" medallion is pretty cool. I see you pull out as many clock pieces as I do on my beaches!

When I first saw the medal, I was thinking there was text worn away and i would figure out what it said later.
Not so, I can imagine that Eisenhowers plan to share Nuke tech with third world countries would draw some attention.
Still not sure if this medal is for or against.
The imagery and 'O Mary' makes me think it was against the program.
Clock and watch parts? yes, everywhere.
Got a table clock the other day with the key still in the mechanism

Herbie, You save square nails too, quite a collection . You have more of the non ferrous because of the shipbuilding site . Those , round head, forged square nails don't show up to often , as you know , one in hundreds . I sent a pic of one , it looks copper , found at the apple orchard site . 8) Atoms for Peace , the message is clear use atoms for energy and no more destruction, The artists concept was a surprise . Early 60's cold war era. Interesting medal CMD dawg

MR,
The Minelabs are the only machines I've used in my short career
They work really well in all environments...
The Etrac has great features for advanced setting hunting,
The Safari seems to work as well, but without so many options.
Mike at Woodland is the man to see! HH to you
