I have pounded my own backyard many times. And 2 weeks ago a buddy asked me to show him my detector and how it works. Well 5 ft of off my back porch and 12" from another hole that was already dig
I pulled 2 merc dimes. I know for a fact I didn't have a signal there before but now it appears. I think weather and humidity and moisture level in the ground has a lot to do with getting signals one day and not the next

I have 1920's homesite on our property,I couldn't find a single coin with the ATP.lots of iron,that will be a good test for the CTX once i get used to it.thanks again for the push in the right direction.
