Atpro on silver?

Since metal detectors respond best to high conductivity, and since silver is the best conductive metal known to science, any metal detector performs very well on silver. Copper is a close second.

The AT Pro gives a nice clean, clear high tone and VDI numbers high 70's to 80's...maybe even low 90's depending on what type of matrix the silver is lying in. Also, you may get that high audio, but chirping if you find cluster (spill) of coins, with one being silver and the rest copper or clad. Real deep coins at 10+ inches may give an audio, maybe as some high audio chirps, but not show up on your VDI. Dig them!

Just curious, how many silvers have people gotten since start using the pro?

The number is determined more by how many were lost in an area, than what people are finding elsewhere. So the number of coins found by different people means nothing.

I have some local customers that hunt house demolition lots in older parts of town. Some of them have found over 100 silver coins a year using the AT Pro. It's also highly sensitive to jewelry. Feel free to give me a call if I can answer any questions.

Hi everyone, new guy here. I got my ATPro last spring. It is my first detector. It took some time to understand what it was telling me and I'm still learning but if you stick with it, you will get silver. That little coin by the ring is a 10 ore. I think it's Swedish but it's silver. As a newbie, I'm very happy with the silver count I have so far. Sorry about the fuzzy pics, the lens on my camera phone is scratched. The bracelet is sterling and the front says Don Sanders. The inscription on the back reads, "Mom & Dad 4-26-45". Wish I could find the owner.

All I can say is I found more silver last year with my AT Pro than any other year in the last 30!

Well that Isn't entirely true. Machines with frequencies from 5-15 kHz respond best to high conductors. However, over that, they usually respond well to low conductors. Hence, relic hunters use high frequency machines to pick out the deep iron. At 15 kHz, the AT Pro is perfect for both coin hunting and relic hunting. Those silver coins should really sing!

Well it certainly is 100% entirely true absolutely, regardless of frequency.

Really? I stand corrected if I gave misinformation, I hate doing that. I had just heard otherwise from others, I apologize.

Thanks fishstick. I had never heard of love tokens until I dug this one and looked it up online. They are pretty cool. I hope you find one.

fantastic love token!

Not only does it find the silver it loves relics. Good luck.

The AT PRO is awesome. I got a very faint 81 signal at 8-9" deep only showing numbers half the time, it turned out to be a beautiful Barber Quarter. Always dig those iffy signals.

I hope I don't regret selling my pro to fund the ctx!! As I had not one bad thing to say about the pro ,
