I drove around some looking for future fields to hunt for the winter months coming up. It was to hot to do anything else today. I noticed some were harvesting the corn in my area. One of the fields was one I hunted last yr. I guess next week will be the first time I have been on it in a year. Hope to find some killers, maybe the other half of this one I hope.

Good luck!

Are you getting any rain in your part of the state? They have been saying rain for us but we only got a few drops so far.

It's very dry in south, ga. The lime sink near my house was full a few months ago and now it's bone dry. Supposed to get some rain this weekend. I finally got my car out of the shop and even tho it's not completely fixed, I hope to hit this creek this Saturday. I've had permission to detect since May of 2013, but just haven't been able to get there. Any artifacts I find belong to the land owner and she has problems with people stealing her artifacts. The old church on her property was hit by some people with metal detectors and left 40-50 holes and people wonder why it's so hard to get permission to detect or look for artifacts on private or public property. Good luck with walking the fields after harvest. It's so hot now, all I can do is water hunt. I went land hunting a week or two ago and even tho it was less than 3 hours, I'm still sore. I had a book about early American Indian history and I wanted to ask you about a certain arrowhead in your area, but lost my notes with the information and turned the book in a couple months ago. I want to build a sniper to check out the creekbed and find this nice lady some artifacts. Detecting for coins comes first, but anything I find I'll save for her. I intend to post anything I find.

Well we actually got some good down pours this weekend. I had to work but if it is sunny later today I might try and check the fields later today if it isn't muddy. They don't like me walking the fields when it is sticky. Guess it might mess it up but for what ever reason its one of the rules. I don't ask why I just do as asked.

They do any logging in your area Rock? I have some good luck in the cutovers sometimes.

I was down near New Echota Yesterday. Creeks were way low but it was raining. Good luck with your fields deer/dove season is close.

No logging in my area.
They made a dove field on top of my favorite field to hunt. Don't know if I will be able to hunt it like last yr. I did hit it today though hehe.
