It's very dry in south, ga. The lime sink near my house was full a few months ago and now it's bone dry. Supposed to get some rain this weekend. I finally got my car out of the shop and even tho it's not completely fixed, I hope to hit this creek this Saturday. I've had permission to detect since May of 2013, but just haven't been able to get there. Any artifacts I find belong to the land owner and she has problems with people stealing her artifacts. The old church on her property was hit by some people with metal detectors and left 40-50 holes and people wonder why it's so hard to get permission to detect or look for artifacts on private or public property. Good luck with walking the fields after harvest. It's so hot now, all I can do is water hunt. I went land hunting a week or two ago and even tho it was less than 3 hours, I'm still sore. I had a book about early American Indian history and I wanted to ask you about a certain arrowhead in your area, but lost my notes with the information and turned the book in a couple months ago. I want to build a sniper to check out the creekbed and find this nice lady some artifacts. Detecting for coins comes first, but anything I find I'll save for her. I intend to post anything I find.
