My friend and I returned to hunt our trade goods site in August. These
are our finds from that day....I believe we put in close to an 8 hour hunt
First find of day was a first for me---Folding money!

We managed one brooch that day.

Also found were a strike-a-light and a pair of trade scissors
with a neat heart motif
005 (824 x 618)aa.jpg
Also found a few musket balls and one that was flattened into
a disc.
006 (824 x 618)aa.jpg
We managed some kettle scrap as well as a small piece of a
cartouche handled knife.
007 (824 x 618)aa.jpg
Our favorite find was a beauty of a pewter button.

That is a very nice tombac button. They were commonly used in the late-18th century. :icon_thumleft: They are common finds on our Colonial sites. If you keep hunting that site often, I have a feeling that a Colonial coin will surface. :icon_thumleft:
