Lucky guy. Some time ago I would see a customer in Aztec New Mexico. Nearby was a metal detecting shop and dealer of gold panning equipment. The place wasn't open and I wanted to see what all they had in it. One time on my visit to the area they were open, so I got to go in. The owner had his MD finds displayed and I asked why so often I come by and no one's here. He said he was seasonal and they only opened during the summer tourist season. Come fall he and his wife would go see the kids and grandkids and then spend the winter months metal detecting for gold nuggets in Australia. I was thinking that was a perfect way to spend your retirement years.

and again I say NEEDS PICTURES!

thats crazy large. i think i would about drop a load and fall over if I found anything like that.

I’d have dropped dead right then and there. Ho-lee-shee-it

Great find. I am sure that he may not be working any more. I am happy for him.

That's the great thing about W.A.....gold is still there, at the surface, in large pieces. And it's possible to go looking for it. And people still find it.

There was one on display in an AZ bank someone found laying on the ground
