Hello Everyone

Is this military jacket authentic or reproduction. Year/war? possibly
Those four different buttons are on the jacket.
1st button shown is on the right pocket, 2nd button is on the right pocket, 3rd button is located at the bottom of the jacket and the 4th is one of the bottom left and right pockets.
The last button picture, front/back is an extra that I found in one of the pockets.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you
Jim

All of those buttons were manufactured for Civilian use, not for an actual Military uniform. Those anchor-&-eagle buttons are what button collectors call "Fashion buttons"... made for use on "Fashionable" clothing, to make it look more expensive than its pricetag says it is. The key ID-clue for those imitation-navy buttons is, the emblem's rope border does not pass through the ring on the anchor's top, and the eagle's wingtops are VERY round -- and he has a distinct potbelly. The other button, showing an upright anchor surrounded by diamonds and dots is also a Fashion button. Most of that one I've seen have an iron back -- something that is almost never found on actual Military buttons -- except for some crude Confederate-made ones during the civil war.

The photo below shows an actual US Navy button. Note the sharp wingtops, the rope border goes through the anchor's loop, and the eagle is slim and fit -- no potbelly.

Hello TheCannonballGuy

GREAT! I thank you very much for this information, very much appreciated.
That is really some good information!

I came across this jacket at a small thrift/confinement shop. It was hanging up near the store entrance and being in the military myself It caught my attention.
I was told that since there's no price tag that I could have it for $5.
I'm really glad that I didn't pay a lot. I know now what to look for the next time I come across something like this. Plus, I had my Wife with me to make sure that I didn't, lol..

Good talking to you!
Take care!
Jim
