I am really hoping this button makes the banner ! Meet up with deadheaddigger yesterday we decided to do some swinging up his way . The last time we hit this spot we didnt have much luck as it was raining and very wet out , but today it was nice and sunny and in the 60's . The house there was built around 1930 but the best part is its really close to a C.W Fort . It started off with some clad here and there ,then a women gold plated watch ,then a gold cuff link with stones and a junior fire chiefs badge ,then a ladies makeup compact ,then I started finding camp lead at about 8 inches . I moved over to the other side of the yard and found a flattened .69 caliber and then about twenty feet from there near the road I hit what I thought was a penny , I removed the plug and saw what appeared to be a old coin ,and as I wiped a little of the dirt off I saw this beautiful eagle looking back at me ,then I realized it was a military button I hollered over to deadhead and said hey come check this out , I was about to do cartwheels across the yard as its been awhile since I found a good button . When I got home I gave it a nice peroxide bath and man did she clean up nice ,it has a back mark so I still have to do alittle more cleaning with a toothpick but after looking her up she is NA57 in alberts button book , 1820 U.S Navel button very scarce ! I also found a large cylinder looking peice that weighs about 10 pounds at the base of a large oak tree, I will have to clean it and post it in the what is it section and another ornate piece with a cool design on it, not sure what it is either . So it was another awesome day ! Deadhead had some cool finds as well so hopefully he will be posting them soon . Thanks for looking !
