Saved this purty little thing at about 4", under a tree in a fairly young woods that used to be the site of an early high school. (Mid 19th century)
It is hallmarked STERLING, so can the jewelry experts tell me when rings would have started to be marked this way? I think this may the oldest ring I have dug to date...
