Awesome Art Score, Space History, Sterling

I came down to the coast for the weekend and did my thrift store swing. I picked up this awesome mid-century illustration by Cox. Very Mad Men ish! Only $14. It is marked on the back “Study for Mosaic”. This may be a commercial illustration for one of the Companies named Mosiac.
At another store I found this original painting by Richard Iams for only $20. His work seems to go for $2000-$30000. It’s quite large and has great depth. A real gem!
At another store I checked out the books and found this autographed Buzz Aldrin book for )$1. Really cool to have this for my space collection.
The last store had a bunch of “silver plate”. These sterling pieces were priced as follows: vase $1.50 bowl $1.80 and $0.50 for the sterling rimmed glass plates. Plus 25% off. Should be about 5-8ozs.
Great day out for sure.

Here is your update! It’s too nice to sell just yet and it looks so good on my beach condo wall. Perfect colors. Looks like I’ll be keeping it for awhile. Same goes for the other one. Still looking for a headboard but the painting is also a perfect color match.
