AWESOME DAY AT THE BEACH

Good Morning All, I had an awesome day at the beach yesterday. It started slow, but a nice morning. Overcast and cool, compared to home and hot. There were 6 other folks out there detecting on the north side of the pier so I went south of the pier. The first target was then Zippo lighter. I found that after as I was heading south. Someone had already hit there. Second good target was the silver necklace. Then the knife. All of that was in either the water or wet sand. Then when I made it to the third tower down, I started to grid my way back to the pier. A really slow process. I was using my CTX, man I love that machine, when I got a 12/15. Before that when I got a 12/15 I either dug a nickel or a pull tab. This time was a clunk clunk in the scoop. I could feel it as it bounced while shaking the sand out. A 14k benchmark that weighs 7.7 grams. Along with $6.95 in change. What a great day. HH GFP I know you can't read it but on the key it says BREWZKEY. I have never seen one like this before it's a bottle opener.

What made it better was that it has been hunted pretty hard and you still found the great stuff.

Great finds there Pete. I don' smoke but it's a cool lighter. Good luck on future finds with that CTX. I love mine too. I think it was the best investment I have made so far.

Randy was that you at SM on Monday the 18th? I got there at 5:30am. The regulars were there and I don't know what you look like but there was a guy swinging a CTX. If it was you I was the guy wearing the really bright t-shirt.
