Awesome Hunt In Switzerland's special place

This great hunt took place a couple months ago. The Girl Scout "Our Chalet" is located in beautiful Adelboden Switzerland. A recent trip with my daughter’s troop presented a great opportunity to MD. After getting approval from the staff I was able to spend about two days detecting at this mountain side location. Even my son got in on the action using the ACE 250. The Chalet was built in 1932 and has been visited by thousands of visitors from all over the world. It has an interesting history to say the least. I found coins, a small diamond ring and numerous Girl Scout pins. The coins were from China, Switzerland, Denmark, US, Netherlands, England and other countries.

Wow that would be a great place to hunt..Its cool that you found so many coins from all different countries...Plus having the whole family there...Cant beat it...

'No legislation specifically refers to metal detecting by private individuals, though legislation exists to ban unauthorised search or excavation of antiquities'

I guess this is why you targetted the modern stuff?

Man, what a wicked location! Although, I would feel guilty about being in such a beautiful location and spending so many hours looking at the ground. That said, you really made an awesome score! This one of the most enviable posts I have ever seen here.

You've got very inspiring views for detecting :P The top right GG badge must be British manufactured by J.A. Wylie & Co of London. They were in use in the beginning of the 20th century.
