Awesome Te'jon tip

Some of you might know this already but I just got my Tejon and was trying to learn it in my test garden. This will be very helpful to people having a hard time telling the difference in the sounds.
I had it set up with the tone at 3 a clock witch was recommended to me and I like, if you listen you can tell the suddel differences in the tone but if you thumb the tone knob to VCO while pinpointing toggle pulled to you, the difference is dramatic pull-tab is a LOT different than coins and iron and screw caps even more so they'll blow you're ears off.
Hope this helps even a rookie can tell the difference!

It's always good to hear tips and tricks, much appreciated.

Need to get mine out and learn it.
Thanks for the tip.

In VCO mode (all metal), I would think that any metal closer to the surface or large in size, would scream as opposed to something deeper and/or smaller. That's how it is on the Vaquero. Have you tried different depths/metals in VCO yet? I'll be curious to see if it's (the Tejon) VCO is different than the other H.O.T. Tesoro machines. :icon_scratch:

Yes I realize it will be louder close to the surface BUT

I was referring to the difference in tone not loudness I have tried it at different depths. Its the distinct differences in tone I was referring to. Hope this helps

We learn something new every day ;D.

So the Tejon has tone i.d. even in VCO mode? That's fantastic!

Re: Awesome Te'jon tip

Wow, I'm surprised you are saying VCO is giving you tonal information that you can hear outside of simple difference/size.

I'd love to hear if any other models folks can hear the difference particularly in pinpoint mode. If I could get a Tesoro disc sound mode with a BH 3300 pinpoint mode, that would get me close to an ideal machine, maybe the Tejon is it.
