I recently was granted permission to hunt an abandoned 1800's home with three massive hayfields. He told me to come back after the hay was cut.
I took a spin out today and lo and behold, the fields were done! Unfortunately, he left the area around the house and it is near impossible to detect.
Anyway, here's a pic of the area.
I only had an hour to detect as I had to work tonight. But, I am going to hit this place hard on my days off as the window to detect it is short. Before I know it, the hay will all be waist high again.
I did end up finding an old axe, a couple of musketballs, the usual scrap metals and an old thimble. The thimble has a lovely little design on it.
Chances are most of the things I'll find wont be valuable. I'll have to put together a little box for him. Maybe then he'll cut around the house. :P
Happy hunting!
