[B][/B] What could this little guy be?

This measures about 3/4 inch in length and about 3/8 inch in diameter. It reminds me of a golf tee, only smaller and obviously metallic. It also has a tiny hole at the base of the larger hole up top, kind of like a funnel. Thanks for looking and Happy LDW

Does the hole go the entire way through? If so, it looks like a sinker that is placed ahead of a plastic/rubber worm for bass, walleye, etc. fishing

It appears that way and It was found on the bank of a creek. Is it old at least?

I think it may be an early bullet sinker, like Tom said.
Does the hole go the entire way through? If so, it looks like a sinker that is placed ahead of a plastic/rubber worm for bass, walleye, etc. fishing
