Hey gents,
Some of you may remember me, some may not, but Hello anyway.....
Decided to start the season off right by going to a park where I scored 2 musket balls 7 years ago. This park is in the area of Burgoynes encampment in July 1777, just before his loss at Saratoga.
I removed:
-22 old pull tabs
-12 old steel twist caps
-6 old aluminum twist caps
--Hey, I was looking for relics......so.....you know......
I scored:
-33 pennies
-2 nickels
-2 dimes
-1 silver Canadian dime
-2 musket balls
Talk about being stoked.....these small ones were packed in with the standard British 69 caliber ball, usually between 4 to 6 per one 69 caliber ball. This gave a shotgun like effect obviously. I guess due to the poor accuracy of the musket, this gave you a better chance at hitting something....
Anyhoo, thanks for the look and happy hunting....
Cheers!
