I'm new to the forum but not new to metal detecting and got pretty hardcore into it back in the day but been out of it for a few years. I really missed it over the years and I'm dying to drive back into it again in fact, just got my minelab EQUINOX 800 and I'm hoping someone on here might give me some quick advice on the EQUINOX 800 since I never used one. I mean should I just dig all the targets (to be sure) like I did back in the day or are these newer machines really that much better God I hope so cause my back ain't what it use to be. Please Help! Oh and I plan on contributing to the forum on some of the harder finds id with my library of research material for what that's worth.

I'm new to the forum...

Nawl I'll pass I work alone my friend... I stopped metal detecting with others when I joined a metal detecting club years ago and kind of liked it til I caught another member secretly detecting a honey hole of mine I told the dude not to go there because the land owner only wanted me hunting it (the owner was funny like that) but the other member went there anyway and got us both ran off from it. grrr... it sucked because I had just found a coin dated 1755 there along with a lot of good stuff like a Spanish colonial solid gold crucifix (best spot I ever hunted). Anway thanks for the offer but I'll pass.
