yesterday i went to an elementary school that i used to go to school at. it is about 40-50 years old, so i was hoping to find some silver coins. sadly, that was not to be... :-[ i came close tho. got a 1967 dime... just a few years off from being silver. anyway, i ended up with 98 cents in clad (the nickel i found at the very end. i was surprised how many dimes i found) and a couple charms. i was there for 3 hours and realized i still don't know how to pinpoint very well. guess i need to practice more. i started out digging everything, but got tired of digging nails and iron junk, so i mostly ignored them after that.

This sounds like my story. I went to grade school at a one-room schoolhouse ( this was 1976). When I got a detector a couple months ago I decided one of the first spots I was going to hunt was that old schoolyard. I knew that the old schoolhouse was torn down a couple years ago, but the addition was there and some of the grass paved. This was an ollllld school. I found a 1968 dime,a few memorial cents, some junk and a marble I'm positive I lost there 30 yrs ago, so it's amazing that there was nothing good (in either yours or my case)

But, ya never know til ya try!
