Back to the site where I found the old hunters button

Mary and I went to a park right on the creek in our town. Found a few things there, old hunters button from the 1800's, a couple of early 1800's LC's, and a bunch of old beer cans. Mary found a flat button at the same time I found what I think is a Bedford Militia 3rd pattern button from 1806-1824. The War of 1812 was fought in my area (40 miles from Buffalo) so I'm hoping it's from the War of 1812 or a souvenir from the war. All the gilt is gone. Maybe someone can confirm my button!

2 days ago Mary and I went to a friends house and I dug my first ever crotal bell!

Pretty sure I identified the button.



So it probably was in the war of 1812.
