Gosh, dimes have been awful...
Searched $325 of rolls today= zilch
-of the last $1,375 of dimes searched, I've found 1 rosie :coffee: I used to average at least 1.5 per box or so -and I considered that too be kinda shabby.

Anyone else striking out on dimes? What's going on ???

I wasn't going to start my own thread about it, but now that you mention it. Dimes have been down dramatically. I think this is probably a casualty of the higher silver prices, due to the fact that they are actually circulated. I'll hopefully change my mind when I go pick up 8+ boxes tomorrow.

Agreed - dimes are definitely down from the 3 per box I was finding when I started a year ago. But they are definitely still out there......just two weeks ago I found a solid roll of silver Roosies and today I found 8 out of $200 is customer rolls.

HH,

I haven't ordered a box of dimes in a long while, but I've searched $6500 in hand rolls in 2011, with 70 silvers found or 1 per $92.
I believe tellers may be sniping the cwr's more often now, but my average is better than last year. ffd

I average something like .75 silver dimes per box and I've been muscling (is that a word? :laughing7:) through multiple skunk boxes for 8 months now and things have just started to pick up. Something like 2-3 silver dimes per $250 so keep at it :icon_sunny:

These things go in waves in my opinion... as long as the sorting companies don't cull them.

Dimes are under the radar and people don't usually think about searching them so that's why I like them.

So far I have searched $160.00 dollars worth of dimes and have found 5 Silver Roosevelts. First $40.00 dollars I searched had 4 and the last $120.00 dollars I have searched had 1. But that's the way it goes you could buy a box and it could have 1 keeper or 40 keepers that's what make it fun. Good Luck And Happy Hunting!!!

I was actually thinking earlier of posting the same question.Dimes for me have really sucked lately. I did a $500 box Monday and found only 1 1964.Today did $700 worth and found squat. My days of 3-5 per box appear to be over

Glad to hear I'm not the only one, I should probably change it up for a while, let the new silver enter the system ::). Maybe I'll do another box of pennies or nickels. We'll know things are real bad when we only find a couple coppers in a box of cents. :-[
