Went to see my shoulder surgeon for a follow up. After giving my shoulder a complete workout he said I am good to go. Then I showed him my surgical replaced knee that I fell on 7 weeks ago. He is very concern due to the fluid in the knee and infection that could arise in the replaced joint. He ordered X-rays and the X-rays confirmed what he expected. I broke off the Patella (knee cap) so I am now having surgery April 18th. I am beginning to think this rough and tumble guy is not so tough anymore.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery! I feel your pain. I've had a slap repair on my shoulder, acl/mcl on my knees, many many surgeries on my throat and just found out I'm going to have another one soon and I'm only 43!

Well I know two things I' going to do here...

1. Find out which hospital it is that you keep going to so I can buy stock. You're business alone is enough to make it go up!

2. Keep avoiding doctors as I have for the last 35 years. I don't trust anyone whose job is called a "practice". Just tells me that they haven't got it right yet if they still need to practice!.

You really need to get yourself healthy again Keith! Take your time and make sure you're back in one piece before ya start pushing it again. you know you've got an open invite to come out to the claim anytime.

Thanks Jeff.

It was totally my fault as I should have not been out prospecting. At the time I was just 6 weeks out from my shoulder replacement surgery. My buddy says, "Come along where I am going is not far from the truck" So I did and while dragging some of his equipment back to the truck with my good arm/shoulder I slip going up hill. Our natural instinct is to put your arms/hands down to catch the fall, but with me and the new shoulder I could not take that chance and caught my knee on a small ledge snapping off the kneecap. It suck as I have worked really hard to get my shoulder back to nearly 100 percent in movement and just need to work on getting the strength now this BS.

Recovery will be short and sweet I hope, for Gods Sake is just a KNEECAP not the entire joint. But you can not bet I will be wearing knee pads and good one at that to protect the knees. Dang I went to buy a new pair of Danner hiking boots and about feel again when I saw the price. Are you kidding me Danner? You want $325.00 for a pair of your boots, WOW...

If only you had gotten a lighter drywasher..

Terry LOL... We were not drywashing, but running a sluice. Have not had much chance to use my drywasher but my buddy took his Royal Drywasher out last week in Arivaca and did really well just scrapper off the top 3" of dirt out on flat land. Yes I tagged along with a broken kneecap. He's down there right now with the Royal. It may be heavy but its quality LOL...
