This is actually an old find, some on the old PROS board might remember it.
We had a dry spell then a good rain so I went out to see what I could find. Walked up on this. Have found many points in badger and squirrel diggings but this is the biggest one so far.Right at 6",patinated heavily on one side other is clean as can be.

Thanks ptsofnc, I have thanked him and his friends many times!

I don't know what badgers eat, but I'd find out and set a plate of his favorite goodies outside the hole!
They are after the ground squirrels that are around here. Hope he got em.

That is amazing Charl. Bet it came out fat and sassy and stinky.

We have something called a Whistle Pig they look like gophers but whistle when danger is close. I found a tiny Hamilton on a mound last year that one had dug. You must of been cooking corn on that grill for them bucks to come in that close. Very nice knife

Thanks Rock. I know you're not supposed to feed critters but I do give them a little grain and alfalfa in winter, I guess they remember that and come around to see if will give them something else. Allright I confess I give some of them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches too. Fun to watch them mouth that around.

That's just an amazing piece. And what a stroke of luck.

That is one of the most beautiful artifacts I've seen! That's what I think about when I think banner find - gorgeous!

Uh, wow! Just, wow!

You have found some amazing things. The stone is incredible too! Looks like a nice area. Congrats

Wow that is an amazing piece. Dreaming of finding one like that someday. Love the obsidian....
