Always take a camera with you!! Actually was able to walk within ten feet of the tree he is in.
He was fixed on two hawks that were circling his nest.You can see him screaming out his warning in pic.
Watched for about ten minutes,needless to say he won the battle. What a beautiful Bird.

Beautiful bird, we got to within 3 ft of one and a golden and an owl (they were tethered ) at Grants Farm in St. Louis! It was the thrill of a lifetime! I was in total awe!!

Yeah,know what you mean.Was fishing one day and one came down about 25 feet from boat and caught a nice bass.Boy was I jealous I was to awe struck to have gotten a pic.anyway.
