Well, Mastereagle's wife let him come out and play for a couple hours. I had found a place that our local fire department was going to burn down as a training exercise, but I was unaware of how much junk was in the ground! Boy...this place was absolutely loaded with it!

Mastereagle showed up in his best dress clothes and I had the unpleasant performance of watching him change at the hunt site. Damn my eyes! Soon we were hunting this new site and as stated, there was trash everywhere. ME22 kept coming up to me and saying "Wonk Wonk, Wonk Wonk". I would pull my headphones aside and he would say, have you found anything? I soon figured out he was on limited curfew with the boss and probably wanted to apply his furlow to better hunting grounds. We left and went to one of our Civil War era haunts.

I concentrated on one area of the property and worked it pretty hard. The ground was absolutely frozen hard as a brick! I was using a Lesche Ground Shark spade, and when I pull all my 240 lbs on top of the shovel it would only penetrate the ground about 2 to 3 inches!! If this wasn't such a great site, I would have left.

I kept watching Mastereagle and one second he would be out by the street and the next he would be behind the house. He was running all over like a rabbit flushing from one location to the next. It made me dizzy. Well, before long, he said he had to leave and with a wink of his eye he placed his finger beside his nose (or picked it ???) and disappeared. I looked down on the ground where he stood and noticed he had dropped his hair bow. I buried it in the yard. ;D

I stayed for about 2 more hours and managed a couple cool finds. Here is what I found:

Everything........

Tenn Joe,
I think I researched it a little bit and it was from around 1930 or so. There was one on eBay with soda still in it! Unbelievable!!

warsaw,
I didn't do too bad. Given the ground conditions I felt validated for the time spent. Sorry I didn't get to talk to you much at the CTH. If we are at a hunt this spring, I will look you up.

MM,
My mind will not even wrap around that Lubrite thing. Ewwwww. I will have to poke my minds eye out now. LOL :-X

topdog,
Thanks dude....I was stoked to find an Indian. That is the glue for a hunt like that.

Mona,
You think t his is funny, wait till you hunt with us sometime. ;)

Mel,
He found his watch....and then hurried home really fast. I give him a lot of trouble...but he is a good dude.

Happy Hunting everyone!

Well, Mastereagle's wife let him come out and play for a couple hours. My wife doesn't even know I went hunting with you. My sister watched the kids and I told her I was helping a friend move, the wife that is not my sister. ::) I had found a place that our local fire department was going to burn down as a training exercise, but I was unaware of how much junk was in the ground! Boy...this place was absolutely loaded with it!Saying the ground was absolutely loaded with trash is like saying Bill Clinton likes Girls there BB!!! ;) :D ;D

Mastereagle showed up in his best dress clothes and I had the unpleasant performance of watching him change at the hunt site. The only difference today was that I wore jeans instead of my khaki pants or green cargo pants. All I did was put on a sweat shirt because of the cold. BB you really need to keep your Broke Back Detecting thoughts to yourself there buddy. ;) :D ;D ;D :) Damn my eyes! It is true that I wanted to leave and go somewhere else but I do want to go back sometime when we have several hours to hunt and go slow. I mean lets be real, there were tie rod ends partially sticking out of the ground, timing chains and gears laying on top of the ground, so much aluminum that I could collect it all, recylce it and buy a new machine!!!

I concentrated on one area of the property and worked it pretty hard. The ground was absolutely frozen hard as a brick! I was using a Lesche Ground Shark spade, and when I pull all my 240 lbs on top of the shovel it would only penetrate the ground about 2 to 3 inches!!Yeah he looked like a parkinson's patient on a pogo stick ;) :D :D (no offense to Parkinson's patients) If this wasn't such a great site, I would have left.

I kept watching Mastereagle and one second he would be out by the street and the next he would be behind the house. He was running all over like a rabbit flushing from one location to the next. That's because of two things, number one the ground was frozen. Number two there was a really cute college girl out in the yard an I kept following her around. Forgot all about detecting!!! ;) :D ;D It made me dizzy. Well, before long, he said he had to leave and with a wink of his eye he placed his finger beside his nose (or picked it ???) and disappeared. I looked down on the ground where he stood and noticed he had dropped his hair bow. I buried it in the yard. ;DAgain your jelaousy about my mane of awesome hair to your not so much thinning hair is obvious. And I have told you a hundred times I do not wear hair bows I prefer the little clippies shaped like cats and bunnies!!! ::) :D

Everything........

I would post what I found but is all junk and a few clad coins. I did find part of an "Old Smith" button but it wasn't even worth taking a picture of. :( :'( :-\

MM,
We are both mentally disturbed.

dgaughan,
Yeah, I probably will end up throwing it away, but that kinda stuff beats digging gum wrappers. ::)

Tennessee-Joe,
Make sure you come to the two group hunts this year. You have to see Mastereagle for yourself. He is very odd looking. ;)

Rebel,
Thanks for the vote of confidence. >:(
Just kidding bro.....I actually found that next to an old sidewalk and cut down along the side walk and then removed the plug. It was in the plug, and I broke the bottom piece off the plug and thought to myself, "What a photo opportunity". The coin was right there in the middle of the plug. I had broke the clod in such a manner that you could clearly see there was a coin there but it was still glued to the piece in my left hand. Anyway.....I don't know what the heck might have happened to that coin! It looks like someone chewed on it or something. I almost wondered if it was some kind of die error. I dunno ???

Nana,
I have a lot of energy for the LA hunt. I have been eating since before Xmas....I look at it kind of like training for a prize fight. I hope to see you and your significant other there. I didn't have a lot of opportunity to talk to you all, so we will have to rap a bit down there. :)
