Yesterday I went to one of my buy banks to get two boxes of halves. The teller brought them out and the vault manager who orders the coin followed her out. He introduced himself and said that I and another customer were ordering quite a lot of half dollars. He then said that he was willing to order all the coins I wanted and added that he had decided just to order $6000+ in halves every week until told otherwise.
Sweet!
However, the two boxes that I was given looked like the end had been torn open slightly. However, the rolls were intact and the boxes were full, so I took them. I later thought that he might have opened them when they came in just to see if there were any enders. (I have never gotten an "ender" from this bank.) I was really wondering why he was so happy to order more boxes for me.
Anyway, this is what I got from the two boxes:
Box #1:
1- 1964
1- 1968
Box #2:
1-1966
This is about average for this particular bank, so all was well in the end.
