Need some help ID'ing this one. I'm guessing early archaic, it's VERY barbed as you can tell, the missing barb appears to have been broken during manufacture. Maybe it's a discarded point? I found it a few years back and I always thought it was a cool, if not kinda crude point. Not the best scan, the quarter however came out crystal clear ???

I just did a search and found a pic. I just typed "buck creek lithics", and several sites came up. I checked the first site and they show a nice pic. They also referred to "motley" and "wade" as similar types.

Check it out! HH

Steve, wouldn't that be classed as a 'Poverty' point?
I have a few types similar, that are Poverty points.

Molly, I have never heard of a Poverty Point. There is a site in Louisiana called Poverty Point though. Do you have any pics of one Molly?
